This authentically detailed replica is the uniform worn by British soldiers and officers during the American Revolutionary War. Soldiers of the British army were often referred to as “red coats” or “lobster backs” by the American soldiers--so named for the distinctive, bright scarlet color of their uniform coats. The British army was the polar opposite of the American Continental Army in size and style of warfare as well as general spirit and motivation.
