Children's General Cornwallis Uniform

A British general, Charles Cornwallis, stood out in his uniform because of his high rank and position. The uniform of British redcoats during colonial times was a recognizable symbol of the army's power and authority. As a high-ranking officer, Cornwallis wore a more elaborate version of the uniform, showcasing his elevated status.

1. British Army uniform jacket: This is a formal military jacket worn by soldiers during the American Revolutionary War. It is made of a red gaberdine fabric and features contrasting navy lapels, facings, and whitetails. The jacket has silver buttons that are not pre-attached and must be attached using hitch pin clips, which are included. They are removable, with interchangeable buttons for easy adjustments and a more authentic look.

2. White backless military vest: This vest is made of white fabric and is designed to be worn under the uniform jacket. It has an attached lace dickey (jabot) at the neckline and is secured in the back with Velcro and laces and features attached gold buttons.

3. Elastic waist white colonial military breeches: These breeches are made of white fabric and feature an elastic waistband for a comfortable fit. They are designed to be worn under the uniform jacket and vest and extend to just below the knee.

4. White canvas haversack: Soldiers often used it to carry their personal belongings and supplies.

5. White canvas cross belt: Worn across the chest. Used by soldiers to hold equipment such as a bayonet or cartridge box.

6. Black boot tops: These are boot covers that can be worn over shoes to give the appearance of knee-high boots. They are made of vinyl fabric and have elastic bands to hold them in place.

7. Officer's sword saber: This is a decorative sword that military officers wear for ceremonial purposes. It is not functional. The sword has a plastic blade and hilt and a decorative handle.

8. Belt set: This set includes a belt and buckle that can be worn around the waist. It is often used to hold other military accessories, such as a sword or pistol. The belt is secured in place with a silver metal buckle.

9. Black and Gold military epaulets: These are decorative shoulder pieces that military officers wear to indicate rank or status. They are made of durable fabric and feature a metallic finish.

10. Colonial Bicorn, also known as Cocked Hat, is a historically accurate headwear from the colonial period. The hat is made of velvet and has a wide brim trimmed in a metallic Gold braided trim finished with an ornate gold button.
